Diamond Polishers

A diamond polisher is used to achieve a smooth, glossy, and refined finish on hard surfaces. Polishers are essential for surface finishing tasks, especially where high aesthetics or functional smoothness is required. Whether you're restoring worn stone flooring, polishing concrete countertops, or enhancing the look of granite or terrazzo surfaces, a diamond polisher helps remove fine scratches and surface imperfections.

You can use diamond polishers on a wide range of dense and durable surfaces, including:

• Natural stone (e.g., marble, granite, limestone)
• Concrete
• Terrazzo
• Engineered stone
• Quartz surfaces

The polisher, combined with the right pad grit sequence, gradually refines the surface to your desired level of sheen, ranging from a matt finish to a high-gloss polish.

Diamond polishers operate using rotating pads embedded with fine industrial diamonds. These pads are applied in a series of grit levels, starting from coarser grits for initial smoothing and progressing to finer grits for polishing. The polisher rotates the pads over the surface at variable speeds, often with water (wet polishing) to cool the pads, reduce dust, and improve the finish. This process allows for precise control over the surface texture and shine, delivering professional-grade results.

While both tools are similar in appearance and operation, their purposes and design features differ:

• Diamond Grinders are designed for aggressive material removal. They're used for levelling uneven surfaces, removing coatings like epoxy or adhesives, and prepping floors for finishing.
• Diamond Polishers, on the other hand, are designed for finishing work. They use finer grit pads and slower, controlled speeds to refine surfaces without removing too much material.

The ideal speed for polishing depends on the surface material and the stage of polishing.

• Lower speeds (1,000–2,000 RPM) are recommended for final polishing stages and delicate materials to prevent overheating or damage.
• Moderate speeds (2,000–4,000 RPM) work well for mid-stage polishing and most concrete surfaces.
• Higher speeds can be used with coarse pads for initial smoothing but are not ideal for fine polishing.

WPN 180 Wet Diamond Polisher

The EIBENSTOCK WPN 180 wet diamond polisher features an angled gearbox that allows for better views of the working area. It's also equipped with an external water hose attached and can be used with 100 mm-125 mm diamond discs.

EPN 1800 P Wet Concrete Polisher

RPM - 2000

The EPN 1800 P wet concrete polisher offers powerful performance and features metal bond discs for surface grinding, and resin bond discs for smoothing and polishing. It includes a water feed and can be used with 4" or 5" backing pads and discs (sold separately).

You don't need a special water source, but you do need a consistent and clean supply of water. EIBENSTOCK models include built-in water feeds, making it easy to regulate water flow directly to the pad.
